I think it is exciting! It has a lot of great recipes, and beautiful photographs. My father was born in Budapest. His family owned and ran the Bodo Coffeehouse in the early 1900’s, where they served this style food .

I can now make recipes and dream about what that era must have been like. Thanks to the Dobos family for this wonderful cookbook.

I LOVE the cookbook you’ve written! The pictures are beautiful and really help to clarify the recipes. The recipes are wonderful, and your directions are very easy to understand

My ancestors were from Risce, and I am very interested in the recipes that are handed down from generation to generation.

I’m sorry that I didn’t know about you when I traveled to Hungary in 2004 to learn about Hungarian baking. Thank you so much for all the work you have done to carry on the Hungarian culinary traditions. When you publish your dessert cookbook, please let me know.

Erzsebet, I like your cookbook very much. My friends here in Australia love when I make Hungarian dishes for them. They often ask about the preparation method and the ingredients. I have lots of recipe books from my grandmother, but all of them are in Hungarian.

I bought "A Taste of Hungary" because it contains some of my favorite Hungarian recipes (some game dishes would have been nice to have been included too, but I look forward to them in your next cookbook) which I can easily show to my friends. The beautiful photos make the cookbook practical and visually attractive.

I needed a good recipe for Hungarian goulash as I remembered my mother making it. I surfed the net and found " A Taste of Hungary" and bought it immediately.

The goulash recipe was easy to cook and tasted excellent – Just as I remembered as a child.

During the years I collected recipes for all the favourite dishes my family and I make the most often. Both my parents and my husband’s parents live in the countryside that abounds in simple but tasty peasant foods.

I learned to make most of the traditional dishes from my mom and my mother-in-law and jotted down their cooking tips. I like to experiment during cooking so I usually altered something in their recipes: added a e or changed something in the preparation process to make the food healthier.

That’s how I compiled my own unique recipes that now I share with you in this ebook, together with colourful photos and cooking tips.

Who else can tell you how to make real Hungarian dishes than a native, experienced housewife? Find out yourself!
